The Frühlingsplätzchen vineyard, dominated by red weathered slate, is famed for producing finely etched, aromatic Rieslings that marry charm and precision with a distinctive, smoky-slate signature.

Tasting Notes: On the nose, the 2023 Frühlingsplätzchen GG shows a seductive yet precise bouquet of spring blossoms, pear, peach and green apple, underpinned by intense flint and saline mineral notes. Subtle hints of meadow herbs and lime zest add further definition and freshness, enhancing its spring-like, crystalline character.

On the palate, the wine is straight, focused and finely structured, with perfectly ripe Riesling fruit, a touch of creamy texture and a vibrant, perfectly balanced acidity. Salty, slate-driven minerality and a pithy, almost peppery grip carry through a long, tension-filled finish, delivering both immediate drinking pleasure and the promise of many years of positive evolution.
